Pastor Hanyoung Kwak is a husband of one, a son of two, a dad of three, a pastor of about 35, a professor of about 150, and a director of..MANY! I first attended SFC retreat in Korea 1993, and I can proudly say that since then, there was never a year that I did not attend any SFC retreats. I've been serving SFC East as regional director since 2013, and recently, God has graciously given this unqualified person an additional task as the national director of SFC America. Why do I come back to SFC year after year? By the grace of God, I met Christ personally through SFC, and I pray that God would do the same to all the students attending the SFC retreats. If I can be any help for this amazing work of God, I will be more than happy to take any role here.
Paul was appointed Regional Director for the SFC Capital Region in 2022. More recently, he served as the Safety-Security Chair for the SFC National Conference in San Diego. Paul has been serving in youth ministry for 16 years and has a passion for equipping youth with biblical truth. He is married to his wife Helen and they have been blessed with 3 very active boys - Ben, Daniel and Timothy. In his free time, Paul enjoys going fishing...and watching other people catch fish!
Seungmin has been attending SFC since he was in 6th grade and has been serving since he entered college. He graduated from University of Maryland with Criminology and Criminal Justice degree, and Masters in Elementary Education. He is currently teaching 3rd grade in Montgomery County in Maryland and is a father to 2 cats (ask him about them and he will talk for hours). He comes back to SFC because he loves seeing young students develop and seeing their growth in Christ, thus always wanting to lead the 6th graders. As much as he is sad to no longer be group leading the 6th graders, he is excited for the next chapter in life as assistant director.
Goal in life: To have Kimions (name for his students) all over the world.
Suhwan Hong is currently studying towards a Ph.D. at the University of Maryland. He has been attending SFC since middle school, now assistant director. He hopes that through SFC, more students will come to know Christ personally and will lead on their student life (and eventually, adult life too) as a follower of Christ.
Haero has been attending SFC since 8th grade and started serving as staff winter 2023. She is currently attending the University of Virginia to study Biomedical Engineering. She hopes and prays that more and more youth students will experience God’s love and grace at SFC and live a life of true worship and joy in the Lord.

Caroline has been part of SFC since 6th grade and has served on staff since college. She is currently studying neuroscience at Harvard University. Through SFC, she hopes students will encounter the abundant love of our Heavenly Father and come to embrace their gifted identities as His beloved children. She considers it a joy to both serve and be served, witnessing the Lord weave stories of grace in the lives of those around her!
